Dave & Jessica
As you know, we went on vacation to Saint Augustine last weekend (click here if you somehow missed those five award-winning posts). The trip was planned around an important event: the marriage of our friends Dave and Jessica.
A few years ago, Dave and Jessica worked together. She just “knew” they would get married, but many of us had our doubts because they weren’t even dating. Well, when she quit working there, they immediately started dating. Apparently Dave had taken the “not dating co-workers” rule seriously.
After dating for 2.5 years, friends were starting to wonder if Dave and Jessica would ever get married. But then, as Jessica had predicted long ago, they got engaged (on my birthday, I might add). Not wanting to spend the time planning a huge wedding, they decided to elope the first weekend of May. I pretty much told Jessica that whether or not to have pictures wasn’t really an option and, being the pushy person I am, I invited myself to their destination wedding in Saint Augustine. I hope she can find it in her heart to forgive me.
They tied the knot on the beach at five o’clock last Sunday. We made a quick stop at the park by the lighthouse, then went to the historical part of town, where we all shared a delicious meal at the Columbia Restaurant. And, no, it wasn’t just my family who crashed the party. We were joined by Pastor Eric (who officiated the nuptials) and his lovely wife Darlene.
Here are a few of my favorite shots. Enjoy!

Wowza!!!!!!!
CONGRATS!!!! You guys are beautiful!I didn’t even know you had set a date!!! We love you so much and pray God’s blessings over your marriage. Put Him first and the rest will fall into place. Love you!
We are so happy for you both. I cannot wait until we all have kids. You know that your kid is going to put our kid in a headlock all the time. Your kid will also have to be our kid’s bodyguard. Since our kid will be made fun of for being 6 foot out of the womb with no coordination. Love ya

I like the ones with the lighthouse in the background. It really lets you know where they are at their destination wedding.
And how is it crashing when you’re officiating? That just doesn’t make sense.
she was so lucky to have you there, those are beautiful. congrats dave & jessica!
I was just kidding about the “crashing” thing. Of course, we weren’t really crashing the party. But it’s kind of funny to have friends there when you’re technically eloping.
I love you Jessica! Congratulations!
