Full Circle Moment
I stopped being an only child at the age of 5 1/2 when my brother David was born. I had really wanted a sister, but dang, if he wasn’t adorable. It was difficult to not like him.

I pretended I was his mommy. A real live baby doll!

I know my glasses are distracting. Try to not focus on that unattractive detail.
David, his wife Valerie, and their daughter Ava arrived in town last night. The main purpose of their visit was to see our brother Rich, who is on his summer break between college and graduate school.
In an attempt to steal the show make their trip even more exciting, I’m hoping to squeeze a tiny human from my nether regions before the end of this weekend. Since David is in town, this would be one of life’s “full circle” moments, for sure. Between my ob/gyn appointment tomorrow morning and the full moon on Sunday, I’m hoping this dream becomes a reality. I’ll be 37 weeks tomorrow, technically full term, so this goal is highly attainable. Thanks to the high speed internet available in each labor & delivery room, I plan to live blog the birth. Hooray for technology!
So… be a friend and say a prayer that delivery happens before my family members leave town on Sunday. I’d really like for them to meet the baby now, since their next chance to do so won’t be until Thanksgiving.
you can do it. lol
