Inquiring minds want to know.
Lisa had a great idea, which I’m surprised I didn’t come up with myself. She suggested a bake off. I don’t want to do it, at least not any time soon, because I’m getting used to a newborn and trying to take daily naps. So, I think one of YOU should do it and then have the privilege of selecting a winner. I know someone out there likes to cook. I agree that’s a lot of cake to sit around your house tempting you. Surely someone has a pot luck picnic coming up, right? Anyway, the three cakes in question are very similar. Make all three, then come back and tell us which one is the best. And by “best,” I mean which one is (1) the most delicious and (2) the easiest.
Oh, better yet! Have a party, serve all three cakes, and have the guests vote on the most delicious one. Perfect! Jessica D. and Ashley M. – you could totally do this at your next monthly dinner party!
p.s. – Speaking of cake… happy birthday, Rich and Summer!
Oh, I wish I weren’t MOVING! I’d totally do a cake tasting at my house. Unfortunately I’m being packed out on Monday.
you know, I just looked at Ree’s cake and I would bet there is very little difference between our cakes. The only real difference is cocoa powder versus chocolate squares, also the margarine thing (and honestly, I always use butter because I don’t usually have margarine on hand).
