One word: VALIDATION
Yesterday it poured most of the day, which meant Andy had the day off. Landscaping doesn’t mix well with inclement weather. Taylor and Nathan were at school. Noah and Jonah were home with us. The day was typical, by any stay-at-home mother’s standards. Nothing out of the ordinary… mostly calm, some crying, poop diapers, lunch, nap time, and juggling chores and other duties in between those activities. Again, typical.
By the time dinner rolled around, Andy was at the end of his rope. He said, “How do you do this all day, every day?” I assumed he was joking and told him to stop making fun of me. He said, “No, seriously. I don’t know how you do this every day. This is work!”
I just smiled. It may have taken a decade, but he finally gets it. Thank you, husband, for finally understanding that I, too, work very hard…

…yet I wouldn’t have it any other way.
p.s. – Happy birthday, Lauren & Hannah!
Yes, I may be sitting on the couch. But please note the toddler in my lap who is sticking one hand down my shirt and the other down her poopy pants, while wiggling with the energy of a meerkat.
This, my friend, takes brilliance to tackle.
I can’t for the life of me imagine feeling morning sickness or a crying newborn on top of this madness. I really can’t.
Aww!!! that’s awesome. I too, am loving it- couldn’t imagine it any other way:)
Thanks for the shout-out for my 1/4 of a century bday ;o) Miss you Destinites!!!
