Tools to Hear From God
A really smart guy recently gave 5 tools to hear from God. Since “how to hear from God” (or “how to know God’s will”) seems to be a fairly common question, I thought I’d share these tools with you.
1. His Word
Psalm 119:105 – “Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.”
2. A number of trusted counselors
Proverbs 11:14 – “Without wise leadership, a nation fails; there is safety in having many counselors.”
3. By His Spirit
John 16:12-15 – “I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear. But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.”
Romans 8:14 – “…because those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.”
4. Then comes His peace
Philippians 4:7 – “And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
