Had a similar experience myself when I was in Iceland visiting friends. We were sightseeing enroute to the airport in a hire car and our car got stuck at the bottom of the road in the sand (not all roads are great in Iceland!) I was really worried we’d miss our plane – then over the sand dunes came a 4 wheel drive with 2 guys in it. They lept out and tied a rope to the car and got us out and after just a few words in Icelandic to my friends off they went….Totally believe they were angels – what timing!!!!
