Life Stories
My friend Lisa recently wrote a reflective and thought-provoking post about life (read it here), which triggered a lengthy discussion with my husband regarding life stories.
It’s easy to get caught up in the busyness of life. Days and weeks can become a blur when our time is held hostage by the necessary and mundane… occupations, errands, paying bills, cleaning house, doing laundry, cooking meals, changing diapers, etc.
I said to my husband, “Everyone has a story. Sure, some are more fascinating than others, but it all depends on how you tell that story.” I believe that’s true.
It’s like my step-dad’s father said, “All my life, every day has been an adventure and I didn’t even know it!” (read more here)
If we aren’t intentional about investing in relationships and creating memories, what will our life story be? Like Lisa, I want a God-sized life, not a Lori-sized life.

Love, love, love this post! Thank you, Lori!
Thanks, Lori.
