Mother’s Day 2010
This year, we celebrated Mother’s Day on Saturday rather than Sunday. We did something we always talk about doing, only this time we actually did it… we rented a boat! Many thanks to our neighbor friends, Wes and Jen, for suggesting the idea, and many more thanks to my sweet husband for saying yes! I thought I would share a few an obnoxious amount of pictures from the day.

This one of Nathan with Belle and Ian (two of Wes and Jen’s kids) cracks me up!

Mmm… Harbor Docks… sushi!

Mmm… Harry T’s… crab soup!

When we first left, it got cloudy and even sprinkled for a couple minutes.

But before I had a chance to get mad, it had already cleared up to blue skies.

Noah was scared at the beginning, but quickly learned that boats are fun.

We took the boat out to Crab Island. It wasn’t terrible, but it sure wasn’t epic. Crab Island is supposed to look like this. FYI, you’re supposed to go during HIGH tide, which we did not. Live and learn… or just take my advice.

Non-epic water aside, we enjoyed ourselves. Even Taylor, who didn’t have a friend with her, which is terrible when you’re her age.

Nathan is part fish. I’m convinced.

What’s better than a sleeping baby? Not much, friends.

Taylor and Belle are kind of like adopted sisters.

That would be part of Holiday Isle, home to major celebrities such as my pastor and the Faith Hill/Tim McGraw family.

That’s my boy. Duh.

Ahh, Ian. Tell me that dude isn’t going to have chicks following him around in a couple years. For serious.

With my three youngest children: Noah, Jonah, and fetus (14 weeks!).

If he was any cuter, my head might explode.

This is our neighbor friend Wes and his son Braiden. They moved here from Missouri last October. They totally dig Destin (who wouldn’t?!).

Noah took a pretty good nap, too.

We spotted several dolphins. Too bad it was overcast when we saw them and my pictures SUCK. I’ve been lucky before, though. Check out these awesome pictures. (It was clearly high tide THAT day.)

Um, is it just me, or are those houses built just a wee bit too close to the shore?

This guy is hot. I would totally have his babies. Like, five of his babies. Uhh…

Wes and his lovely bride Jen. Ex-Missouri residents. Now they’re living the dream, baby.

This makes my heart melt.

Braiden and Noah are, like, best friends now. They were born one month apart and live across the street from each other. So convenient.

Little lovey. Mmm… I could eat him up!

Checking facebook, no doubt.

Pretending to drive the boat.

Always finding treasures and building forts. This time on Norriego Point.

How much you want to bet these two date each other in a few years?

Stud.

Jen and the two boys who need to be potty trained, preferably (for me, anyway) before their third birthdays this summer.

Getting some baby sugar.

My beloved Destin harbor. BP has done their best to destroy it, but I’m praying they won’t be successful.

That’s so awesome!! I’m glad you guys had a great day… Happy Belated Mother’s Day!!
