His Plan
I vividly remember sitting in the hospital after Jonah was born last June, thinking he was my last baby. No sooner than that thought went through my mind, I felt God tell me in my spirit that I was, in fact, not done, because there was another person He had planned. It didn’t matter if I tried or prevented, because His will would be accomplished. So it was really no surprise that I got pregnant in February. The timing was a surprise, but the pregnancy was not.
I’ve said before that God knows what we need more than what we think we want, because His will is always perfect. He knows us before He forms us in our mother’s womb, and sets us apart before we are born (Jeremiah 1:5). So while I may want this or that, I want God’s will above all, and I am exceedingly thankful for all He has given me and will give me. While little dresses and little bows are not in my immediate future (granddaughters, perhaps?), I’m excited nonetheless!
Now, to decide on a name… because clearly, I’m running out of masculine choices. Ha!

I KNEW IT!!!!
It was just part of His plan, there is no denying!
omg! i am shocked… but you do make some good-looking boys! congrats!
Our baby is going to be Samuel David but I have always loved Abraham,Isaiah, Isaac, and Elijah. Congratulations! Think how much fun you will have with your daughters-in-law and your granddaughters:) you will probably have 16 granddaughters:)
Hey, look at the bright side, at least you’ve already got all the baby boy stuff you need
so another boy? congratulations
can’t wait to hear the name you choose!
Yay!!!! I’m so excited for ya’ll! Gonna have your own soccer team
Congratulations! You keep having boys, maybe then others won’t
You have beautiful kids, so this boy will be so handsome! Can’t wait to meet the little fella!
yeah, you do totally make good looking boys, and they always love their Mamas!
Congrats, Lori! You’ll pick a great name, and you’ll be a great mom of five…or maybe six or seven…
I’ll have to admit, watching what little of “19 and Counting” has somewhat made me understand your choice to continue breeding. It must be pretty amazing to have your own tribe, especially when they are such beautiful humans! Congrats my friend, I know the right name will present itself. Since I’m pretty sure we’re done (not that you’ll love them as I do) I always liked the names Fisher and Damien.
… I meant “what little I have of 19 etc…”
and to clarify, the only reason I questioned your sanity in the first place was the whole ability and contentment to be pregnant so much.
You are a special breed, dear! Much love!
There’s nothing I can really add to your perfect blurb… Congrats! We are sooooo happy and excited for you guys!
Congrats! I’ll think on it. I like Luke as a middle name.? More to come. I was going to be named Eric Matthew, if I was a boy, so I like that. Will continue to think.
Great news! I like the name James, but I know it is already in Noah’s name. Loved your blog… so true…
Perfectly formed and blessed in his mama’s womb. Congrats!
So excited for you! If only we had coordinated the timing better, pre-arranged marriages could work, Right?! Anyway, gorgeous family! Love ya!
Yay!!!! God knows what you need to become more like Christ, and OBVIOUSLY He is choosing to use your precious boys!!! Congratulations!
I was actually just thinking about when you helped us pack and the little notes you left on and in our boxes as I am planning this next move. You are really an amazing friend! Love you! BTW, we fly out June 17!
Congratulations Lori! God must know that you are a great boy mama, so He’s giving you many to raise. How lucky you are!!
Yay!! I’m late… lol Not like you need the help but just thought I’d throw out some Biblical names that I’m partial too.
My brother and his wife chose Biblical names for their 3 kids. Isaiah, Josiah, Benjamin, Cain, Caleb, Malachi
Congrats, Lori!!
