Dazzlers
We are having a room added onto our house and, thanks to an electrician doing his job, we have been without internet/tv for three days. (1) Thank God it was just those petty things and not the air conditioning – can I hear an amen? (2) Thank God for my iPhone, because I didn’t have to suffer through no facebook, email, and twitter for three days. What I couldn’t do, however, has been driving me crazy… which is to announce [on my blog] that my daughter made the dance team! I was so thankful that we didn’t have to deal with disappointment like last year. I felt pretty confident about her making it this time, but since I know nothing about dance, I had no idea how the judges would score her performance. So, needless to say, Friday evening was very exciting! I think I screamed about 20 times when she read her congratulations letter to me. (I sounded like Sponge Bob in that episode where he’s terrified of the hash-slinging slasher. Does anyone know what I’m talking about?) And while I can’t stand chain restaurants, I’ve never been more thrilled to eat dinner at Chili’s, where the newly selected team traditionally has their celebration dinner each year.

Mama’s favorite Dazzler, right there in the middle!

With most of the other girls who made the team.

Most of the 2010-2011 Dazzlers with their coach.

Yay Taylor!
That is awesome. She is really beautiful, Lori. I really don’t think 7th graders looked like that when we were in 7th grade. I’m pretty sure 7th grade was still “that awkward stage” back then. But does even ONE of those girls look awkward? Don’t think so!
Congratulations to Taylor! I was pretty excited too!
Ps. This blog makes me miss you.
Awesome!
. She’ll have a blast.
Yes, I know what episode of Spongebob you’re referring to- you crack me up.
Ironically I was on a dance team in Middle School named the Dazzlers.
hooray!
