Happy Anniversary to Us
Saturday was our 11th anniversary.
So, I removed my typical “wife-beater” maternity tank top, threw on a dress that accented my “outie” bellybutton, and even remembered to accessorize (Darlene would be so proud).
We went to Bistro Bijoux (the finest restaurant in town), where we ate the most delicious meal ever. Let’s just say it’s all who you know, and the chef wowed us with two appetizers that are not yet on the menu. (One of his surprises? Blue crab meat beignets… oh my heavens! Definitely request that if/when you have the good fortune to dine there.) Have you ever had a meal so beautiful and so delicious that you actually started to cry a little bit? Well, that was us as we enjoyed our anniversary meal.
The babysitting was appreciated, the meal was perfect, the sunset was breathtaking, and the husband is a keeper. Happy anniversary to us!
